Week 8B: Twitter

For me, it was a little difficult to find similar twitter accounts to follow. I had to come up with a strategy to find the connections that I did. I first tried searching green home decor. But many of the topics or images that came up where literally "green" colored interiors. That is not really what I was looking for. So I decided to start my looking up recycled and/or reclaimed furniture. I also looked up bohemian interiors because many times the bohemian style will incorporate found, recycled, or vintage items that are considered eco-friendly and sustainable because you are reusing an item. I also looking up eco-friendly and environmentally friendly and found many accounts that were all about saving the earth. I also searched interior design, home decor, and eco homes. It was a bit of a challenge but I got the hang of it after a while of experimentation. I ended up finding from my searches a bohemian interior designer, two furniture stores, and an interior design resource magazine.

The lists I created had organization in mind because I like to be organized. I made two lists: green design list and bohemian interiors list. These lists help me with my search issue I had before and also help me organize any tweets or twitter accounts that I could use later on for clients or inspiration. The users I added to these lists were accounts I followed and thought had to do with the topic.

I think the best time to tweet is at night. I notice that many people in the evening tweet and retweet more than in the morning hours. This would make sense because most people are getting ready for work/school in the morning and don't have time to be online. While at night it is more common for people to log in because they are bored and done with the rest of their day!
