Week 8A: Twitter

There were not many twitter accounts that had the same services that my business offers; however, there were many accounts that had to do with interior design and many that had to do with sustainability and eco-conscious issues! I combined the two topics to find twitter accounts similar to my account. The accounts that I followed were what I want my twitter and business facebook pages to look like. They were updated frequently, had well organized and planned posts, and many followers. I am very new to twitter. I have heard about it but was a little intimidated and not sure how or in what way to use it. I see that for businesses twitter can be helpful because it can connect you with potential customers, people who may have an interest in a topic that your business it in, and other businesses similar to yours.

Home Decor Maven organizes her twitter more like a blogger. She provided home decor tricks and tips along with awesome recommendations of products that are similar to her style. Echo and Ben is a furniture and home decor store that places there furniture and other found items on twitter that are vintage! I absolutely love this shop because it is unique and handmade items which my clients would love because the pieces are all reclaimed. Eco Home Decor LA is a furniture supplier that specializes in eco friendly furniture. Once again, this is a business that I could use for my higher end clients that would enjoy and use. Last but not least, I chose Interior Design magazine because it is a resource for interior design professionals like myself!

I think all these accounts are good examples of what topics and tips that I can share, they also help me because many of the businesses are complimentary to my business. Meaning, we can use each other they can use me for their clients and I can use them for my clients. I thought choosing complimentary businesses was easier than finding businesses that were exactly like mine.
